The first is the scarf that was in Handwoven magazine in an article introducing a technique I invented for planting a bead in the center of each waffle in waffleweave.

The second is a scarf woven in a fancy point twill using a warp I handpainted.

The third is a group of swatches of fabric designed for upholstery.

The fourth is a double-faced point twill scarf woven on a 24-harness dobby loom.

By the way, I also teach weaving. I have a rigid heddle loom and an 8-harness floor loom and can teach anything from the most basic weaving to patterns for which an 8-harness loom is necessary and how to design your own weaving patterns.
Hi Donna, just wanted to let you know I enjoyed looking at your weaving. There are more weavers in Charlottesville. Feel free to contact me via email if you’d like.–Laurie
Thanks for your comment. I’m glad to “meet” you and will be e-mailing you. I’ve got this bee in my bonnet (left over from UK Pocktorian Textiles) about local textile artists coordinating their color and fiber/yarn and shape choices so as to market together, perhaps even to share equipment and space resources.
